Completed project

Manifold with deep holes

For an international client, Douna combined stainless steel machining, deep-hole drilling and dimensional inspection in one production process for a complete manifold.

Stainless steel 316 manifold clamped for deep-hole drilling in the Douna workshop

The assignment

Deep holes and interfaces

The manifold required deep holes, critical threads and interfaces in a material that places high demands on cutting parameters, cooling and process stability.

Douna's contribution

Douna determined the machining sequence, workholding and drilling strategy, combining complex machining with controlled deep-hole drilling and the finishing of threads and interfaces.

The result

Delivered work

A completely machined manifold, ready for the client's application.

After production, the holes and threads were inspected using CMM measurements and gauges.
